How we look after the details you give us. Plain and short.
Clear View Cleaning Contractors Ltd (company no. 15309702) is the data controller for the personal information on this page. Contact us at Unit 11A Tollgate Farm, Tollgate Road, Colney Heath, St Albans, Hertfordshire AL4 0NY, by email at [email protected] or on 01727 324 413.
To give you a price, get in touch about it, book and carry out your cleans, send you a text the day before we come, send invoices and deal with anything you ask us to. We rely on taking steps to enter a contract with you and then carrying it out, on our legitimate interest in running and improving our business, and on the law for our tax and accounting records. We only send marketing if you have agreed to it, and you can say no at any time.
We never sell your details. A few trusted providers help us run the business, and they only use your details to provide their service to us:
Two others are different. Google supplies the fonts and maps on this website, so your browser contacts Google when a page loads. And if you accept cookies, the Meta (Facebook) pixel sends Meta details of your visit, which Meta also uses under its own privacy policy.
While you are a customer, and after that for as long as the law needs us to keep business records (usually six years). Enquiries that don't turn into work are deleted once we no longer need them. The note of how you found our website stays in your browser for 90 days.
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to stop using it. Email or ring us and we'll sort it. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
When you first visit, a banner asks if we can use Facebook advertising cookies, so we can see which of our adverts work. If you tap Accept, we load the Meta (Facebook) pixel, which tells us whether our adverts work and helps show them to the right people. If you tap No thanks, none of that loads. Your choice is kept in your browser, so we don't ask on every page. To change it, tap Cookie choices at the bottom of any page.
We don't use Google Analytics at the moment. If we add it, it will only load after you tap Accept too.
When you first visit, your browser keeps a small note of how you found us: for example a Google search, one of our adverts, or a link from another website, and the page you landed on. If you came from one of our adverts, we note which one, but not the advert's click code. It has no name or contact details in it. If you send us a form or a price, the note is sent with it, so we can see which adverts work.
If you type your postcode into a postcode box, your browser keeps it for that visit only, so you don't have to type it again. It is never put in a web address.
You can block or clear cookies and stored website data in your browser settings at any time.
